This is an old style miniature haystack approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. Basically in medieval times or earlier, three large sticks were tied together to form a stable structure and the hay was piled tightly between the sticks. Great prop for those outer somewhat less occupied farm settings that adventuring parties seem to run into a lot.
