History: The Mk. II Matilda, or 'Matilda' for short, was the one infantry-based or medium tank that served with the British from the start of WWII to its end. Slow yet steady, they made excellent infantry support vehicles, with trench warfare tactics in mind. And for its time, Matildas were known for their impenetrable armor, so much so that they gave German Panzers III & IV a run for their money. Even the Soviets acquired Matildas by way of lend-lease, further widening their use.
Notes: 1/100 scale model remixed from m_bergman now includes minor rectifications & updates (i.e. reshaped hull & turret, repositioned tools, new radio antenna, new crew supplies, etc.) for historical accuracy. The current model reflects the one famously used in the North African Campaign. Turret should rotate now. If otherwise, please let us know. Up & at 'em lads!
