This is a stand for an optitrack reflective tracking sphere. The spheres have M4 thread in them, so this is a little stand with an M4 thread on it!

I've used these with the 9.5mm M4 markers like this https://www.optitrack.com/products/motion-capture-markers/#mcm-09.5-m4-10
