If you’ve printed the Modular 10 server rack (link to rack), you’ll know it uses front connectors to help strengthen the joints between parts. Once a 1U space is in use, though, those connectors can’t be screwed down flush anymore. That means they no longer add strength and may even be at risk of breaking. This print is a simple matching spacer that sits under the connector, bringing it level with a 1U panel so it can be secured properly and keep doing its job. It’s a bit hard to see in the rack photo, but you can spot it sitting underneath the orange front connector (circled to make it easier). The spacer is 2.6 mm thick to match the panel sizes used in the Modular 10″ rack linked above.
