The gentle angle of the base leaves printed lines that are all concealed by the top plate. Because the top plate prints flat, the surface that the sponge sits on and is visible is clean and prints very well. The top plate prints with supports that are easily removed. Some light work to the underside rim of the top plate is necessary for a clean joint when seated in the base. This is at most 5 minutes of work with a knife or sand paper along the supported parts
