All in all, the original design is pretty good. It fits well, and it has sensible size and form for the application and the material/process. Compared to the many laughably flimsy designs out there, it can actually do its one job without snapping in half. I know, I know. I shouldn't have such unreasonably high standards.

I extended the dingus end to give a little more handle offset. That helps avoid raking knuckles on the rim of old flat-top barrels, and it gives a bit more clearance on carboys and drums with recessed bungs or raised handles.
