I have been wanting to build a lamp like this for a while. I finally got around to it. I decided to keep it simple to make it as easy as possible for folks who do not know much about electronics and/or cannot solder. There are a plentitude of ways to wire and control LED lights in this manner, but I aimed for the most user friend manner. I ordered a controller that had a remote control and Alexa control options. It is wifi and bluetooth enabled and has an app for your iPhone or Android.
