Modular Decorative LED Light

This was a fun project born out of having a very short spare USB cable. The short cable meant I wanted to create something that could plug into the hub on my desk and serve as a decoration.
The modular design means it can be stacked as high or low as desired (two modules are shown in the provided photos). The LED insert has holes for five 3mm LEDs, but this can be customized.
The circuit used here is very simple. All the LEDs are in parallel with a 220 ohm resistor on each. With cold white LEDs, this equates to about 7mA per LED, or 35mA per module.
