The Idea
A while back, I bought four Neopixel panels, each with 64 **WS2812** LEDs. I wanted to build a simple clock that would also show the temperature and display other text with special effects. I initially built the clock by duct—taping the panels together, but it only lasted a month before eventually falling apart. So, I figured a sturdier 3D printed solution would be better. I also wanted to change the layout and build a 2×2 *(16×16 LED)* square. I found many great models that would suffice, but I realised I’d have problems if I wanted to add more panels in the future.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands, and after some revisions, I came up with this model. The panels themselves aren’t exactly square — two opposing sides are a millimetre shorter than the other two, making it an awkward rectangle. This fixes that issue and also aligns the LEDs better.
With 4 panels I was only able to create some simple shapes. I'm looking on buing some more in the future to create a
