Modular Photo Scale Pole

This Modular Photo Scale Pole is designed for taking field photographs of mid to large scale objects when typical photo scales won't work. Although pocket rods are one of my favorite field tools, sometimes straight black and white solid blocks are ideal for photographs. The pole breaks down into convenient 10 cm and 20 cm segments, allowing you to adjust the length for your specific needs in the field and to compactly store it in a field bag. I have printed mine in PLA for field testing but ASA probably would be more ideal. The pole is approximately 33 mm in diameter. Plate 1 can be printed for the bottom and center sections. And Plate 2 is an upper piece without the extra threading. The profile is printed with brims and 4 wall loops for added strength. There is a hollow core profile with each piece having a hollow core allowing for greater strength with the additional interior walls. See my Archeological Tools Collection for my other field tools.
