We present a modular planetary gearbox with a gear ratio of 5.5, which can be scaled
by connecting several modules in series to achieve extreme gear ratios.
The design is optimized for 3D printing and easy assembly, and the gears and shafts are designed to print without supports.
Key Features:
✔ Modularity – combine multiple gearboxes to increase the overall gear ratio.
✔ Support–free printing - Most parts, including gears, are printed without complicated settings.
✔ Optimized dowel shafts are integrated into the shafts for easy assembly.
✔ Flexibility of materials – ABS is recommended (shrinkage makes it easier to fit), but printing from PLA with 1-2% gear scaling is possible to compensate for printer accuracy.
