I designed this modular smart lamp system to be customizable to your style and taste. Make it funky, make it classy, keep it simple and change from one look to another very quickly and easily. Customize and remix it! The fundamental parts of the lamp are the base and the collet and they hold an E26 bulb base in place. A simple LED smart bulb is recommended to go inside of the receptacle. Do not use incandescent bulbs as they will be too hot! The “sleeves” slide over the base and fit together using a tongue and groove style lip. You will need a minimum of two sleeves to cover the base but you can keep stacking them higher to make a taller lamp. Interchange colors, patterns, shapes etc. One of the sleeves will be labelled “bottom” and have a small cutout to allow the lamp cord to pass through. The “caps” are basically just sleeves with a closed top to hide the top of the bulb. Above the lens you can stack more sleeves under the cap if you want more height or colorful bands.   The lenses will sit over the lip of the base and provide some diffusion to the bulb behind it. I printed most of mine in spiral vase mode with clear PLA. However, you can also use white PLA or PETG and a single wall will allow plenty of light to shine through. You can scale these parts in the z axis to make your lamp taller or shorter, remix versions with ribs and twists etc. With the smooth lens you can use a regular piece of printer paper and print a logo or pattern and place it behind the lens for a cool backlit look.   You can also print more traditional style lamp shades. I have included a sample design of one of those as well. If you find a combination you really like, you can hot glue or super glue the tongue and groove sections together to make things more permanent. I would not recommend gluing the lens… because then you won't be able to access the bulb inside.   I will be updating the available files with my own designs but I would love to get the community involved and see remixes and
