Moisture plug for junction boxes,
it's used to avoid the creation of moisture inside the box due to temperature changes.
I've designed it some time ago, the bolt is not sized correctly, you'll need a 17 metric wrench but it's not a “correct” size.
Thread diameter: 12mm
Total diameter: 19mm
I still don't know if it works correctly, I am testing it right now, but should allow the exchange between the inside and outside of the box
I've printed it in both PLA and PETG,
the best results I've achieved are:
- plug with the nozzle on the printing plate, no support (this way the traction of the nut on the thread is not optimal since the rip will be along the printing layers)
- plug “horizontal”: in contact with the printing plate with the cylindrical reservoir, supports only on the printing plate.
I've always printed the nut flat on the plate.
