Just a little electronic add-on. On my Sidewinder X1 I always see the nozzle and heatbed temperature on the TFT but I added 2 LED to show if heating is working.
Now I got my Monoprice and sometimes it stops heating due to the FW seems to disable them after soime time or anything else.
However I added here also 2 LED showing me always the status of the heatbed and nozzle.
Each LED has a 1kOhm 1/4W resistor on one pin. It doesn´t matter which pin. With 2 thin wires from each LED connect to the main-board heatbed and hotend connectors as shown in the picture (pdf). I soldered the wires below the board directly to the contacts of the connectors.
Check + and -. There is a common + conductor track leading to a fan connector on the other side of the board.
There you will see, that this common track is + 12V. (At the fan connector are 2 wires in black and red. The red one is +12V and this one is connected to the conductor track leading to the heating connectors.)
