The Korean Moon Jar, known as Dalhangari (달항아리 in Korean) is a quintessential masterpiece of the late Joseon Dynasty (17th–18th century) that captures the essence of Korean aesthetics. These large white porcelain vessels are celebrated for their subtle, milky-white glaze and a distinctive, slightly asymmetrical shape that resembles the full moon. Because of their immense size, they were typically created by joining two hemispherical bowls together, often leaving a faint, natural seam around the "waist" that adds to their organic charm. Reflecting the Confucian values of the time—such as austerity, honesty, and purity—the Moon Jar eschews elaborate decoration in favor of a serene, understated beauty that has made it a timeless icon of Korean ceramic art. See wikipedia for more information.I used OpenSCAD to fix the 3D scan file (the image on top) from the National Museum of Korea so it can be printed properly. All the printed jars have 120 mm height in order to have no infill.
