16 segment twist moon. Model printed in PETG. My son wanted a twist Earth. I wanted to test without the hassle of full color so went with the moon. The cuts are generated with OpenSCAD and I will be releasing that with the Earth model when I get it tidied up. The moon shape was created with Blender using data from ode.rsl.wustl.edu. The two were then combined in OpenSCAD. The model should be able to be printer with 0% infill though I forgot to select that. A brim should not be needed. When printed, many of the segments will likely have some adhesion at the base. Most of these can be loosened by banging the moon on a flat, hard surface at a slight angle, Terry's Chocolate Orange style. The rest can be loosened by carefully inserting a thin knife into the cracks and gently levering them apart until free. Pay attention to the outer and inner cracks and slide the knife, using the thickness of the blade to force the surfaces apart as much as possible. Extreme force should not be needed.
