Mount Calavera 2

Here are models of Mount Calavera, a small volcanic "plug" in Carlsbad California. It is part of a nature preserve with trails that lead to the summit. The models were constructed using publicly available data from NOAA's Office for Coastal Management - "2002/2003 IfSAR data for Southern California: Digital Elevation Model (NAVD88)". Data for an area 900 meters (2950 feet) wide by 1197 meters (3930 feet) long at intervals of 3 meters was downloaded. OpenSCAD was used to construct two models: one from square rectangular blocks at a resolution of 9 meters; a second at full resolution using an openSCAD surface file.
