Mourning Lady Statue. Monument of the victims for Austria’s freedom at the Vienna Central Cemetery. The monument, consisting of three figures (fight, mourning, accusation), commemorates all those who were politically persecuted and died in prison during the years of Austrofascism and the Nazi regime. The monument by the sculptor Fritz Cremer and the architect Wilhelm Schütte was opened in 1948.
