Mouse Skull and Brain

This is a 1:1 size mouse skull and brain. While there are many 3d anatomical models of mice avalable in the literature, I had a hard time find a quality STL file of a mouse skull and brain. I have therefore created my own model using the sources linked below.

The skull and brain were obtained from different anatomical microCT scans (skull) or histological sectioning (brain). Please keep in mind that no two mice have the exact same anatomy. With this in mind, I have edited both models inorder to fit together. Additionally, I have repaired both models of reconstruction artifacts/errors. You may noticed that I have deleted the nasal canvity of the mouse skull as I am only interested in the brain and how it sits inside the skull.

I have included the meshmixer file in case anyone would like to continue editing.
