Mouse Trap House with Status Flag

If your traps are getting cleaned off without catching anything, this will solve your problems. Instead of putting the bait on the trap, you put the bait behind the trap forcing the mouse to try going through the trap to get to the bait. Plus mice love crawling through holes so they'll feel right at home. If you want a visual flag of whether or not the trap was set off, put a zip tie on the swinging part of the trap and cut it off with about ½" sticking out through the top hole. Then when the trap is triggered, it will pull the zip tie into the house. You don't need an overly complex trap, just buy the cheapest trap you can find and build this house for it.
