I remixed brandroid64's dust shoe for mpcnc.
I used harbor freight neodynium magnets to connect the base to top. I superglued them in place. The number of magnets is probably overkill.
I used threaded rod 5/16 and tee nuts. I drill a few arbitrarily placed holes around the periphery of the tee nut and used 3mm screws and nuts to hold in place on the top piece of dust shoe.
I bought a piece of 2mm thick hobby foam at hobby lobby for a dollar and used that to make the skirt and hold in place with 3mm screws 8mm in length with lock washers from Lowes.
I superglued the tube into the groove in the top piece.
I printed the items with 3 walls and 100% infill. I printed the support with 15% infill.
Rotate the top piece 90 degrees so that the magnet holes are facing up and the circle for the shop vac hose is facing down. I print with support for the top piece which is easy to remove from the shop vac hose depression.
Rotate bottom piece 90 degrees so the magnet holes are facing dow
