Patient 19 Log — Subject: Mr. BunnyChickenMan They told me not to trust anything that smiles with teeth it shouldn’t have. But Mr. BunnyChickenMan ain’t like the others. He’s soft where the world forgot to be. Feathers where there should be fur, fur where there should be skin—wrong in all the right ways. He sits quiet, like he knows the storms before they come. When the lights flicker, he don’t run. Just watches. I think he understands things we don’t. Not the loud thoughts—the quiet ones. The ones that hide under your ribs and scratch. The ones that can crack open worlds like eggs. He brought me an egg once. Didn’t say nothin’. Just set it down gentle, like it mattered. I didn’t open it. Didn’t need to.
