This is the Midwest RepRap Festival logo converted using different tools to printable STL files. I'm working on a complex multi-color version for those with multiple extruders or color options.
One was converted using Simplify 3D and it's image converter that changes to height mapping. This gives more of an analog feel to the logo.
The other two were converted using MatterControl and the paid plugin for converting images. One is just the logo- good for manipulation in separate objects, the other is the same logo with base, good for printing as a complete object.
Feel free to derive and come up with improvements and variations- hope to see you at the show.
