It is a tool for measuring the length used when constructing walls and palaces, and was also called Gokchuk (曲尺), Daechuk (Great 尺), and Geumchuk (Gold 尺). It was mainly used by carpenters, and it was used as a standard chuck when building houses and walls, Bonghwa (烽火), Sajikdan (稷壇), Sanneung (陵) and Neungsil (陵室), and Yanggi (量) such as 升 (斗) and horses (刑具).
