Simple demo of a good way to design and print spheres. My first attempt at adaptive layer heights and fuzzy skin. Stage 1 - was the split the sphere into two - so that the bottom half can be printed facing upwards - In this example the two halves are joined by a double ended internal screw. Stage 2 - Adaptive layer heights to smooth out the layers as much as possible - see 2nd print profile. Stage 3 - Fuzzy skin - this then seems to almost completely remove the layer lines, seams and hides the joint fairly well too. Unexpected extra benefit of doing the split in the bottom half is that it puts more weight in the bottom, and that together with the really nice smooth bottom half means the shapes self right - like those old wobble but don't fall down toys. Green and Silk Silver PLA used is Bambu Lab Sponsored Filament.
