This spinning reel has been in development for almost 2 years. Although it can be printed in PLA (single material) it benefits from the capabilities of the E3D Toolchanger printer because it allows printing the critical Friction Cone in TPU (for friction and PLA (for rigidity) as a single part. This technique is also used on the handle with a TPU cusioned grip and PLA core.
Each file is named with the recommended material as part of its name. The materials used include:
SnoLabs CF PC+ - this is an amazingly strong rigid material that is easy to print. It is used on the high stress parts.
Taulman Nylon - is used for the high wear parts like the large gear and the small line follower wheel.
TPU/Ninjaflex - is used for the Friction Cone and handle grip. Use a contrasting color to the PLA for a little "pop". You can't see the Friction Cone, it is a part of the spool assembly and provides the necessary friction - or drag - to control the fish.
