This dock was created as part of a Mechanical Engineering class at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. It is designed to accommodate multiple Apple devices and potentially other smartphones. Design Issues Encountered Filleting Issues: Some edges couldn't be filleted due to mismatching curved surfaces. These areas were rebuilt in SolidWorks, and the current version has these fixes implemented. USB Cutout: The cutout for the USB Type-A connector at the bottom of the watch's wireless charger receptacle may be too tight. This might need widening after a test fit. iPhone Stand: The stand may block the speakers at the bottom of the iPhone. This can be mitigated by creating a narrower base for better speaker output. Pencil Cup: Redesign the pencil cup to have a shallower region for shorter writing utensils or office supplies. Future Modifications Widen the USB cutout if needed after a test fit. Narrow the base of the iPhone stand to prevent blocking the speakers. Redesign the pencil cup for better accommodation of shorter items. Benefits of 3D Printing Accessibility: 3D printing allows more people to access this design. Cost-Effective: It is much cheaper than injection-molded or machined manufactured counterparts. Compatibility Designed For: iPhone 7 Plus with a slim case AirPods (1st or 2nd Gen) Apple Watch (Series 1 through 4, any display size) Potentially Fits: Any other smartphone with a case up to 15 mm thick Print Settings Printer: Sovol SV01 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 10% Filament Brand: Sovol Filament Color: White Filament Material: PLA How to Proceed Preparation: Ensure your Sovol SV01 printer is calibrated and ready for printing. Load the File: Load the STL file into your slicer software and apply the recommended print settings. Print: Begin printing with supports enabled to handle any overhangs or complex geometries. Post-Processing: Test fit the USB Type-A connector. If too tight, widen the cutout accordingly. Test the iPhone stand to ensure it doesn't bloc
