Mushrooms1

I had a couple of short reels of filament I wanted to use up, and I had the idea to make a small bunch of mushroom shapes to do that. Each mushroom is 2 parts: the stem, which is a Loft surface made from 3 circular control curves, and the top, which is a bit more than half of a sphere. Each mushroom is a unique height and diameter, and they are arranged inside al elliptical shape so that they overlap enough to yield a single part.

Initially all the mushrooms were the same height. I did this because it would be easy to make a color change at the junction between all the stems and the tops. But it wasn't realistic looking, so I added the ability to alter the mushroom height. Another problem was I had to make the bottoms of each stem large enough to ensure they stuck to the print bed during printing. For this print, just to be sure, I added a 3 mm skirt that was fairly easy to remove afte
