The secret to making chain with smooth round links is to print the links standing on end, on a raft, with minimal support. I wanted to make a chain that looked like a real chain without the artifacts of 3D printing. This chain has round links with no flat sides, and no texturing from the print bed. I have made several chain designs, and this is my favorite by far. This chain will print with no supports, but you may occasionally experience a failure. The profile is set up to print with supports and with a raft. Bambu Studio supports can be unique each time they are generated. There should be one tree branch supporting the top of each link, as in the pictures. For best results, ensure that you are using a dry, high-quality filament and that you have taken appropriate steps to maintain good adhesion to the build plate.
