N Scale Rail Car Float or Barge

Does your rail master need rolling stock to ford a body of water? This rail car float will do the job.

There are three main sections each can be flipped and attached to each other. If you like the look, you can have two bows or two sterns connected. Add as many center sections as you want to create your own length. At the same time use a bow and short stern section to create a six-inch float for your micro layout.

The two tracks are 25mm apart from center to center.

Length of the main sections is 127mm (around 5 inches)
Width is 70mm (around 2.75 inches)
Height to the deck top is 10mm (around 3/8 of an inch)

The bumpers on the model are another of my designs.

An apron or slip for this will be my next project.

Additional parts:

Atlas Code 80 flex track with the ties removed.
Atlas Code 55 can be used but wheel flanges will hit the tops of the rail holds making a zipper noise.
