The is an awesome printable necktie that will grantee you a lot of attention at any party or show and is a greate show peace to start a conversation about your passion - 3D printing.
The design uses a mash fabric to create the hinges. A fly net works perfectly. The tie is split into four section to be able to print it on almost every normal sized printbed.
Pause the print at z-height 5.3mm to insert the mesh.
To mask the connection areas between the sections the design incorporate detail element which can be printed in a different color.
For the shown Tie silver metallic PLA from Owl-Filament has been used for the main print and Vertigo Galaxy PLA form Fillamentum for the Details.
To increase the strength of the glued areas and for easier lineup during gluing FilaPins are added.
For the neck loop a 15-20mm wide elastic band is recommended. Sew a small loop at each end of the required legth and secure it with 3mm filament pin in the tie knot.
