NEM Dovetail coupling mount

This is a coupling mounting block for OO/HO NEM couplings which allows the coupling to be adjusted to the right height by sliding it up or down in the mount. Adjust the Z height in your slicer if you need it to sit deeper or shorter. I would suggest anything from 3mm to 10mm depending on the floor of your wagon. 10mm if fitting directly to the bottom of a wagon floor, 8mm if the chassis has moulded crossmembers.
Given that some locomotive coupling heights vary widely within a manufacturers range, it may that the wagon directly behing the loco may need its coupling height adjusted to suit the loco if running in fixed train formations.
