I've got some Nest cameras mounted indoors pointing outdoors to monitor my front porch, front and back lawns. While, I know, many would say that outdoor cameras are a better option, in my case, indoor cameras make the most sense.
Using the mounts that come with the cameras work ok, however, there's a lot of glare. By reducing the distance the camera is from the glass and creating a bit of a shade, helps reduce glare, especially at night when the inside lights are turned on in our house.
I printed these at .2mm layer height with 3 outer perimeters, 3 top, and 3 bottom layers with 20% infill in Hatchbox PLA.
Assembly
Insert the Center Camera Mount into the Outer Ring. It's a snug fit, which helps it stay pivoted the way you set it.
Push the Window Frame Mount into the Outer Ring from the back. It too, is a snug fit.
Insert your Nest Camera through the center hole
Plug the camera in and align the mount to the corner of you window. Position everything how you want it to get a fe
