I have experimented with both PLA and TPU, and personally I am happier with TPU. The cup it fits in is slightly more than 50% of a full circle, so it holds the camera in place, no bluetack/glue etc is needed.
The block to mount it on your rear windscreen can be mounted how you see fit, personally some velcro command strips works fine for me.
