I need a replacement Virtual Boy Power Tap and the only ones i could find were being sold on eBay in the US. So i designed a like for like replacement.
Loosely based on the original as the original design is not easy to print. This took a number of different attempts
This design comes in 4 pieces
- Bottom Clip
- Bottom Cover
- Mid Cover
- Top Cover
In order to essemble you will need 2 small screws and 2 larger screws (open to try various sizes)
The bottom slip has a channel cutout, you can either
- Bend a small pieace of copper along the channel with wire soldered to the end
or
- Use a flat copper clip from a socket plug, as i did, and again solder very fine wire to the end, and place into the channels.
The Bottom cover, will screw onto the bottom clip, and should just have your two wires poking out, which can be soldered to a DC plug.
If you find it's too lose when attaching to the contr
