Just a concept of a belt cooler for a small 1.2cc glow engine.
It is designed to fit an old Thunder Tiger pro 12, but it should do for any 12 or even a 15 engine.
Now, this engine spins about 3000rpm at idle. By making the motor's pulley 23mm and the fan's pulley 10mm, we get about 6900rpm on the fan side. That's cool!
Talking of coolness, it pushes a good amount of air through the engines head, and reduces the temperature about 30 degrees celsius. For example, if the engine runs at idle with a temperature of 90C, it will be reduced to something like 60 or less. See my experiment on the video below (if you understand Russian hehe)
*The video will be available after January 4th.
You can use a 3mm shaft and modify the parts or use a m4 bolt, like I did, and make the thread ends 3mm to fit the bearings. You will also need some bolts and nuts to mount the hole system on a platform.
● Belt: I used a simple rubber band
● Filament: I used is ABS. You can use PLA too. Just
