What to do if you have no hardware and want to print from a cardboard spool? No screws or bearings on hand? No problem! This Side spool holder slips into one of the slots on the side of the AMS an extra ledge rests on my X!C but it should fit on the P1 series as well. The fit into the AMS is tight so the spool holder uses the AMS and printer to counter balance and there is little movement when printing. The included file for the cap helps keep the spool in place when it walks. You can use any PTFE guide, I didn't print one just fed from under rather than over. I used PLA but will probably reprint in ASA eventually. Please leave comments and let me know how the print went. If you can find better orientation on the print bed utilizing less support I'd love to know! Please also share any pics of your makes and how it worked out for you!
