Modified the Disposable Rocket (i.e, firework / fire hazard) into a REUSABLE rocket.
The original files (nosecone B, fin B) wouldn't fit into my 18mm engine no matter how much i pushed, so they were enlarged a few tenths of mm.
Added a payload module that holds a streamer. Added a loop on the fins for securing the rubber band. Added a bar across the nosecone to secure the other end of the rubber band.
Needed:
1 large, or 2 smaller rubber bands
About 10" x 1/2 or 5/8" crepe paper or mylar (I'm using a strip of mylar from one of those space blankets) for a streamer.
2-3 pieces of model rocket recovery wadding
Assembly (see photos):
Cut the rubber band(s). Tie 2 together if using one any smaller than the length of the finished rocket.
Push rubber band through the small loop on the fins and tie a knot on the end; or just tie it to the loop.
Insert rubber band into the hole on payload section from outside to inside.
Tie the streamer onto the rubber band about 2 inches
