As my company decided to expand the possibility of working at home I started to optimize my desk for better usability and more space. One option was to mount the laptop under the desk. There were already some mounts but none was like I wanted them. So I created my own bracket. You will need three brackets and it would be beneficial to make sure that the center of gravity of your notebook is inside the triangle of the three brackets. For each bracket you need to use two countersunk screws with up to 4 mm diameter. In my case I chose 3 mm diameter screws as there are enough fixing points for only one laptop. The pictures I added are the first version of the brackets with reduced reachability of the fixing points. The model file already has two holes so the screws are easy to assemble. There is some additional space to add some adhesive foam or felt to the brackets to minimize scratches.I fixed a HP ZBook 17 with these brackets so I think they are more than capable.
