A simple filament sample system that doesn't require manual labelling, or printing multicolour text / parts etc. I get through a wide variety of filament and couldn't find a filament sample/swatch system I liked, and I'm still fond of the Benchy to see how a real object prints in a given material/colour. The original Benchy has large text debossed into the base; the perfect place for a unique number to go instead. I edited the mesh in Blender to restore the surface, and then added easily edited text in the slicer - retaining this feature of the Benchy (the original text is there as a first layer squash check). Just make a note of which number corresponds to which filament when you print it, I use OneNote and track samples in a table (you can also keep any print settings here if needed): NumberBrandMaterialColour001ZiroPLAMarble002BambuPLA BasicOrange003… Simple, neat and easy.
