Another component of the lamp I'm making. This pivot allows the "horizontal" arm to pivot and rotate around the vertical member. I initially printed these as disks, but wanted to print them vertically to eliminate most support material and wasn't happy with the results. So the octagon came to the rescue. It pretty much approximates a circle and the 45 degree angles require no support. Anyway Fusion 360 files are included for your customization.

The hardware is a 30 mm M5 hex head bolt with compatible washer and wing nut. The wood parts are 3/8" (about 9.5 mm) hardwood dowel.
