The angle is 22.5 degrees to match the street elbow and adapter that are available at 'any hardware store'. I built this thing because I got tired of trying to find places to put my funnels that would also drain off excess liquids. I have transfer pumps with 3 foot plastic tubes that I don't want to coil up while they are still saturated with oil. Wherever you coil them up they will get oil everywhere so this is just way to store and drain your liquid handling tools. The tubes will remain nice and straight :) This uses 1.5 inch sch40 pvc
