Fully scaled and tested on a OO scale train set.
15mm wheels for a OO scale model train. Designed specifically for my trains but should work on anything. Lengths of the axle may need extending or shrinking based on your stock. The ends may also he shaved/smoothed for to reduce friction.
I know, they’re not as good as metal ones. If running low speeds they do the job.
Print wheels with a connecting rod. The wheels are a very tight fit and frequently need a little grinding down of the axle to fit. Or the axle can be made thinner and glue used to connect the wheels.
This method is far better than printing as 1 piece. With a 1 piece print the wheels warped and wobbled. This way you can adjust the wheels after printing. Then glue them. Or not.
Printed fine on my ancient 2k Mars 2 but may need tweaking for parts to fit securely.
I had planned to print and sell my models but… life had other plans. So I’m slowly putting my trains up for download. Maybe other people can make some money of
