Open plan office status wheel

When you work in the open space office (e.g. Ph.D. room) and the tables are too high for other people to see if you are around or not (well at least they give some privacy, right?) this status wheel bar can help you out!

You can simply print out "status cards" and insert them to the wheel and by changing the status controller on your desk (with 1:1 transmission ratio to the top status indicator) you can control indicated status. The interconnecting string can be for example nylon fishing line. In order to make sure it does not slip just wind it once fully around the top (indicator) and bottom (control) wheel.Then adjust the tension by moving the status controller around.
