An ergonomical crank handle for the Open Press Project — designed as a drop-in upgrade over the original straight handle, which I never found particularly comfortable to use.The shape is visually inspired by the ergonomic handle of the Postcard Printing Press, adapted to fit the Open Press Project's gear roller. Full credit to the Open Press team — this design builds on their excellent work.I also have the Open Press Project Postcard Printing Press available if you're building the full setup!AssemblyThe crank comes in two parts that are glued together using the included alignment pins. Here's the full build process:During print — the print profile includes a pause at the right layer to insert an M5 Self-Locking Hex Nut into the handleAfter print — glue the two crank halves together using the little pins for alignmentScrew in an M5 Socket Head Cap Machine Screw to attach the handle to the crank bodySlide the crank onto the gear roller of the press — done!<boosttit
