Code from https://github.com/1technophile/OpenMQTTGateway
uses wemos D1 mini, TSL2561, BME280 and HC-SR501 on 170 Tie-points 35x47x8.5mm breadboard.
for IR I used TSAL6200, TSOP38238 and 2N2222A. 36ohm 1/4W resistor for VCC(resistor is subjected to about 400mW but 1/4W resistor should be fine for short bursts) and 330ohm for D0.
30deg stand allows IR to match majority of opposing devices when it is placed on desk.
BOM:
- wemos D1 mini
- TSL2561 (i2c)
- BME280 (i2c)
- HC-SR501
- 170 Tie-points breadboard
- TSAL6200
- TSOP38238
- 2N2222A
- 36 ohm resistor
- 330 ohm resistor
- m2 screws and nuts to mount sensors (glue is fine too)
Sample schematics:
- only available template was sparkfun's bme280 but we will be only using 4 pins for i2c, refer to photo
- PIR sensor can be powered through the spare set of bridged 5v and Gnd
Possible future improvement:
- Reset button access
- RF integration
- Additional external adaptor for 360 degree IR (wires through curren
