OpenRC Tractor Hay Wagon

I hadn't seen a old fashioned hay wagon I liked yet so I thought cool ... make one. I liked it so much that made 2.

The wagon bed is 8.5 x 12". I used some bamboo strips that I had found on Amazon and glued them against 5 - 6x6mm cross members.

The bed is then glued to 2 - 8 x 10mm timbers. I have included some photo's to demonstrate the layout. The tail lights and the SMV emblem is just eye candy and yeah ... pretty cool.

Other than the bamboo strips I ripped the following pieces.

2 - 8 x 10mm (timbers)
5 - 6 x 6mm (cross members)
2 - 5 x 8mm (rack upright stands)
4 - 3 x 8mm (rack cross members)

The wheels use the same bearing, rims and axle setup as the OpenRC Trailer and on the OpenRC Tractor front end. The tires were printed in TPU copied from the OpenRC Trailer design. (thank you)

The results is a smooth rolling 1/10 scale hay wagon large enough to carry six beers safely to its destination while still observing all the DOT safety precautions. The receiver on
