**Replace your old topside adapter case with a robust, 3D printed housing.**
After thousands of dives with OpenROVs, from the first Kickstarted 2.3 to the current 2.8s (and beyond!) I can safely say that no component takes more abuse than the humble topside adapter. They get smashed, dangled, tripped over, splashed, and crushed. I've broken so many acrylic cases over the years that I've lost count. These 3D-printable replacements are a bit more robust, a touch more stylish, and designed to minimize the dreaded *tether yank*.
I recommend soldering your tether to the circuit board, rather than using the spring terminals, though there is a channel along the top cap to securely hold the wires if you prefer to use the terminals. The topside adapter fits snugly inside and wont move once the case is shut. A port on the bottom allows you to see the indicator lights.
