OpenSCAD ball joint

This ball joint provides a very sturdy linking method. The joint provides a lot of friction because of the wall thickness (2mm works well). As such, a chain of multiple links can be shaped and will keep its shape. It is quite versatile and can be used to create tripods, for example.
