Opinel No.6 Locking Ring Mechanism
A few years back, I found an Opinel No. 6 knive on a campsite. After cleaning and sharpening, the knive could still not be utilized since the locking ring was missing. Now, I designed a locking ring for my 3D printer, and it turned out nice. Finally it is safe to use the knive.
The ring has an inner diameter of 12.4 mm at the top and an inner diameter of 13.7 mm at the bottom. Its height is 17.2 mm. This information may help for other Opinel types/numbers when scaled accordingly.
Also it features the two tapered edges at the top and bottom to lock the blade in place during operation or storage.
